In December 2007, Laura Clevenger, owner of OK Family Publishing, first met with the staff at Cameron University's Center for Emerging Technology and Entrepreneurial Studies (CETES) and explained her dream of publishing a free, monthly, quality family magazine for southwestern Oklahoma. A year later, the company joined CETES, and within four months, they published their first issue of Red River Family Magazine.
Laura Clevenger has stated numerous times, “We owe Cameron University and CETES a huge debt of gratitude. We would not have succeeded without their help!”
